From a poll on our Instagram our followers chose their most iconic Met Gala outfits of all time. So in no particular order...
1. Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell
The 'poker face' singer, is not known for her subtlety, so it was no surprise when she made an entrance to the 2019 Met Gala. Gaga was one of the first to arrive at the prestigious event and she took over the entire red carpet: for a 4 outfit change. Which can only be described as - ICONIC.
2. Jenifer Lopez in Versace
J-Lo was dripping in diamonds at the 2019 Met Gala. It was hard to miss her, because she was literally shining. The dress was accessorised with diamonds in the form of bangles and a huge pendant. Don't be fooled by the rocks that she's got. She's still Jenny from the Block.
3. The Jenner Sisters in Versace.
The youngest of the Kris Jenners 6 children went viral after these matching outfits at the 2019 Met Gala. Comparisons were made to many famous duos. Including: Dumb and Dumber, Daphne and Velma. White Chicks and Kendall herself even compared them to the Ugly Step Sisters.
4. Kendall Jenner in La Perla
Kendall wore a barely-there dress in 2017. The dress left very little to the imagination with a thin layer of sequins showing off her black thong. But if you've got, it flaunt it! And this Victoria's Secret model has definitely got it. She walked the carpet with a confidence that made this dress shine.
5. Blake Lively in Versace
The actress's gown took over 600 hours to create. And when you look at it, are you really surprised? The ruby dress was covered head to toe in intricate beading. The most stylish girl on the upper east side did not disappoint at the 2018 Met Gala.
6. Rihanna in Guo Pei
Another dress to go Viral after the met gala. Rihanna's yellow dress was compared to both a pizza and an omelette. With meme's circulating the internet of the train covered in pepperoni. The theme of 2015 was China, through the looking glass. And the 'umbrella' singer was one of the very few, to actually wear a Chinese designer.
7. Beyonce in Givenchy
Queen Bey made an extremely fashionably late arrival at the 2015 Met Gala, as the last celebrity to arrive. She really made an impact in her beaded Givenchy gown. It's so iconic, she even references it in her award winning song 'formation' - "I'm so reckless when I rock my Givenchy dress".
8. Celine Dion in Oscar de la Renta
Celine Dion wore a body suit and matching headpiece to the 2019 Met Gala and looked fantastic. Although she narrowly avoided embarrassment at the event, after a confusion over the theme. The Canadian signer thought the theme was 'camping' and initially planned a very different outfit. Although if someone is going to pull off welly boots at the Met Gala, it's Celine Dion.
